About Life Foundation
Life Foundation (LF), established in 2010, is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) registered under the Registration of Societies Act 1860 (as amended vide Registration of Societies Act 1969). It is also registered under the Section 12A and under section 80 G of the Income Tax Act 1961. It is also registered under FCRA Act 2010. Life Foundation, with its head office at Hojai, Assam operates in the Hojai, Lahorijan, & Golaghat Districts of Assam.
Life Foundation basically emerged to address the issue of Child trafficking, Child Education, Health, Women Empowerment, Youth affairs etc. the Organization has ventured into the fields of Community Health, Women and Child Development, Rural Development.
With the rising needs and challenges of the society, the Organization strived and continues to strive towards addressing issues of social, economic and health concerns. “Enlightenment of Human Values and equitable social order and economic development” as its vision/mission, Life Foundation was formed by like-minded social activist and has been actively involved in social welfare services for the economically and educationally weak populace of Hojai, Lahorijan, & Golaghat Districts of Assam. The organization creates and disseminates the means for sustainable livelihood, proper management of resources, promote health and environment.
In pursuance of its Vision, Mainstreaming of Vulnerable and Marginalized Women and Children, Education, Advocacy, Management of both Human and Natural Resources, Empowerment of the people and Local Entrepreneurs are presently the major concerns of the Organization.
Over the years the Organization has experienced, learned and proven that with collective efforts and support from various sections of community, each of us have the power to move toward for the growth and development of our Society. The Organization is self sustaining through contributions from its members and well wishers. Life Foundation is still at a vulnerable and nascent stage but we believe that with blessing from almighty, people’s support and our resilience, it will grow, reach out and make positive difference to the less fortunate in the society.
Child Care Institution (CCI):
LIFE FOUNDATION is recognized by State Child Protection Society, Assam under Mission Vatsalya of Ministry of Women and Child Development. As per Form 27, the Children Home run by the NGO – LIFE FOUNDATION P.O & PS Hojai, Dist Hojai, Assam is granted registration no.03/2022 as a Children Home under section 41 (1) of the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015 w.e.f 19th November 2022 for a period of 5 years. It is a 25 bedded care home for children (Boys) in need of care and protection.
SERVICES
• Provide education, skill development, counseling, behavior modification therapy, and
psychiatric support with free nutritious food during the period of stay.
• Formulate Individual Care Plan for each child based on understanding the child‘s
background.
• Preparing the child for reintegration into the family and community.
SPECIALIZED ADOPTION AGENCY
Specialized adoption agencies (SAAs) are responsible for the care, protection, and well-being of children in their care. They also provide information to prospective adoptive parents about the child's medical history, and provide post-adoption services including counseling.

Aims and Objectives of Life Foundation:
- To work for empowerment of women and children by facilitating basics needs like education, health, various training programmes, providing nutritious foods and other social protection services and work for protection of basic rights of children and facilitate in ensuring the rights.
- To organize, promote and facilitate entrepreneurship development programme for the unemployed women and youth and to take up facilitator's role in entrepreneur-ship development by providing the back-up skill and technology up gradation training, market linkages etc.
- To work for SC/ST/OBC/ Weaker sections and poor women of the society and to provide Non-formal education to street children, Schedule Tribes, Schedule Caste and Urban Slum Dwellers and also cater to their health and family welfare services.
- To take necessary steps for removal of illiteracy, Untouchability, inequality, racism and develop the sprotsman spirit among youth of the society.
- To promote and encourage the physical fitness, Yoga and moral education the women and youth for the development of character, health and good citizenship and develop the sprotsman spirit among the youth of the society.
- To hold legal awareness cmp, free medical camp, blood camp, awareness cmp about HIV/ADS, cancer, malaria and eradicate of blindness, awareness about the Indian system of medicines and Homeopathy, conducting national level seminars on different trades in the jurisdiction of the NGO.
- To take steps for providing pure drinking water, public health and sanitation with the help of the Government department.
- To arrange various games and sports, cultural and literacy competitions in the area amongst the locality and thereby try to encourage them these fields.
- To promote the national integration among the different cast, creed and religions.
- To work for providing infrastructural facilities within both rural and urban area, for the development of agricultural products, herbal products, diary products, psciculture, food processing, horticulture, floriculture, plantation of tea, rubber, bamboo, ginger, pineapple, betel nut, vanilla, cocoanut, papaya, bio-diesel plants (jethropha) etc,; handicraft and handloom products, particularly that of silk and Assamese brass; development and marketing; sanitation; poultry; piggery, development of tailoring and embroidery, knitting, working with ASEB for rural electrification and development of all renewable energy products and technologies etc.
- To do research in any field of development that will serve the people.
- To take up Health & Sanitation Programmes and other Rural Development activities especially for Schedule Caste and Schedule Tribes, Minorities and Backward Community.
- To assist in the relief and rehabilitation of the disabled, aged widows and the victims of natural calamities.
- To take up socio-Economic activities like Village Industries, Agriculture, Horticulture, Fishery, Livestock development, Forestry, Flower culture etc.
- To take up environment and ecological development activities.
- To promote health among drug addicts and provide treatment facilities for their addiction and it's related diseases and also rehabilitate them.
- To provide all types of counseling services for their recovery and also to their relatives.
- To work for the welfare and development of women and Children.
- To organize public meeting for promoting awareness and consciousness among the people on human trafficking.
- To make effort to raise Human Resource Development through formal, non-formal technical, professional; or vocational educational institutions, and to run such centers for the development of the disadvantaged section of society.
- To promote social justice through training and motivation of the poor, and to support the cause of the poor before the government and the World Community.
- To arrange-tfaining in collaboration with competent agencies both government and NGOs and provide training and facilities as and when necessary for the people, base group, youths and the other agencies which are engaged in social development programmes.
